Senior School Teacher – Economics, Business & English
Location: Carrara, Gold Coast
Commencing: Term 2, 2026
Employment Type: Full-time | 12-month fixed term
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Senior School Teacher to join our teaching team on a 12-month fixed term contract. This role involves teaching Economics, Business and English across the Senior School, including senior secondary courses where applicable.
The successful applicant will be a passionate educator who brings strong curriculum knowledge, engaging pedagogy and a commitment to student wellbeing and achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons in Economics, Business and English
- Design and implement curriculum aligned with syllabus requirements and College expectations
- Use a range of evidence-based teaching strategies to support diverse learners
- Contribute to assessment, reporting and moderation processes
- Build positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents
- Participate in pastoral care and co-curricular activities as required
- Uphold and actively support the ethos and values of the College
About You
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- A recognised teaching qualification and current registration with the relevant state authority
- Experience teaching Senior School Economics, Business and/or English
- Strong knowledge of senior secondary curriculum and assessment requirements
- Highly effective classroom management and communication skills
- A collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to faculty and whole-school initiatives
- Commitment to professional learning and continuous improvement
- Alignment with, and support for, the values and ethos of a faith-based school
